Mandatory condoms in California porn

AIDS Health Foundation (AHF) has won a tremendous victory over the porn industry in California. Today Judge Mary Droyovage (say, are all court judges female??) put the smackdown on the Industry's claim of freedom of expression and intrusive gov't by mandating porn productions equip their employees with prophylactics. This went from being an L.A. County specific law to - ta-daa! - a decision that effects the entire state of California.   

Unbelievably, porn studios quibbled over the performers being defined as employees. They still vehemently argue the sex machines are "independent contractors" and, therefore, not covered by the workplace safety laws concerning exposure to blood.

As to the Industry's pathetic argument that "consumers don't want to see condom porn" I ask, What consumers? Most of the bastards refuse to even pay for it, gleefully opting  instead to steal via filesharing. "Why," I've often heard the cynics sneer, "should I pay to see people having sex? It's not like they're working." Well! With an ungrateful market like this who needs detractors?! Rest assured, consumers of porn will keep on watching porn, period. It's simple: a pervert has to get his rocks off somehow and, Lord knows, with the permanency of the Internet and social media he hasn't the necessary social skills to actually meet and hook-up with real live human beings in the flesh. 

Besides the concerted efforts of such groups as AHF, OSHA et al. for mandatory condom use today's landmark verdict was lubricated by the surprising legal move of San Francisco porn studio Treasure Island Media who, rather than flagrantly flaunt the law and pay the hefty fine like other studios, chose to pursue the big bad heroic route by appealing. They lost.

Howard Stern, ever tasteless, tactless and creepy, is apparently personally offended by the recent fame of newcomer Gabourey Sidibe. Most Hollywood legends are endeared to us by one, maybe two roles they played anyway; so versatility is what it is but it ain't everything.

So long as Miss Sidibe remains the "enormous" girl she is, then, yes, she will play fat bitch roles. We were introduced to her in a dramatic movie but perhaps she'll knock us dead in comedy. I personally think she needs to change her diet and lifestyle and lose all of that weight. She is too, too damn big. Obesity is not a good thing. But she's not a fashion model, she's an actress. And as an actor Miss Sidibe was not a token nominee for Best Actress alongside acting giants Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep. Her nomination and acclaim were earned. Ergo, big and all, she.can.act.

Mr Stern is odd and odd-looking, sophomoric, repulsive, and mildly talented; so who does he think he is to put the kibosh on Miss Sidibe's aspirations?

As for Howard Stern, the man is a loser who's found his niche and doing quite well. Mr Stern is not attractive let alone handsome, nor eloquent or charming, nor thought-provoking; he is not constructive or well respected or a beacon of his craft. Put another way, Mr Stern is ugly, odd and odd-looking, crass, crude, sophomoric, repulsive, perverted, provocative and mildly talented; so who does he think he is to put the kibosh on Miss Sidibe's aspirations? And as for his black sidekick Robin Quivers----calling  Oprah a liar for encouraging the girl's potential----I can't stand that laughing bitch.

APA is pro-gay

The American Psychological Association (APA) now declares at least one form of therapy to be bogus: gay-to-straight counseling. They've yet to come clean on the other 1002 expensive, useless, intrusive batteries administered by equally expensive, spuriously useless, utterly intrusive psychologists. But this bias towards gayness is amazing.

Of all human behaviours and misbehaviours the APA would have us believe that, above all, sexual behaviour cannot be manipulated? Gay-to-straight therapy is not just about a homosexual person working towards functioning heterosexuality; it is, in sum, about sexual orientation. If a same-sex orientation cannot be helped, changed, altered, redirected then where does this leave sexual offenders?

By declaring worthless and bigoted any therapy which aims homosexuals towards normal opposite-sex behaviour, the pro-gay APA, in effect, repudiates all psychological treatments for healthy sexual behaviour.

I do not accept this foolishness because it discredits will power, volition, ambition, re-education. It means pedophiles cannot turn away from pedophilia; adulterers cannot refrain from adultry; rapists cannot resist raping; incestmongers cannot refrain from incest; chronic masturbators cannot keep their hands off themselves; animal molesters cannot turn away from bestiality; porn addicts cannot keep from porn; sadists cannot enjoy sex without inflicting pain, and masochists cannot enjoy the same without receiving pain; and arsonists who get off from arsony are hopeless fire bugs.

It should come as no surprise, therefore, that many practicing homosexuals or homosexually curious persons are not happy with themselves. They want to change and have done so. They want to be straight. They want to be ex-gay. Too bad, according to the APA (and folks like Mr Besen). The un-happy homo is happy but he just fails to realize it. AIM. What is it good for?
One of the bastions of the porn industry's campaign of normalcy or uprightness is its self policing of health standards via the AIM organization (Adult Industry Medical), a clinic to test performers on a battery of sexually transmitted diseases. Since its co-founding by former porn slut Sharon Mitchell (and Dr. Steven York) in 1998 it has become de riguer for studios and directors to hire only models who receive a clean bill of health from AIM. How commendable. But like a shiny mackerel this fish still smells.

Since the organization was the first or, at least, specifically directly aligned with the adult industry it has quickly become the sole arbitrator of health; in other words, a monopoly. Like all monopolies, AIM has the luxury of stipulating standards to its liking in so far as concerns cost, testing sites, cycles for succeeding check-ups.
It claims the service is complimentary for performers but that's a lie. As the presumptive "official" medical voice on health standards AIM exacts a hefty fee in excess of a hundred dollars for its test results...$100+ for the same results one can get for $0 from any nonprofit clinic or government funded health clinic.

There is absolutely nothing which makes AIM's testing any more dignified and technologically thorough in detecting STDs or HIV than ones local clinic or hospital

The physics of a porn actor's body are no different than any sexually active individual's so why the hoopla? Why does AIM demand such heavy fees? Simple: Because they can. Why still? Because they have no "competition".
Bullocks! Of course there exists other clinics (competition) that reliably test for STDs. In having "no competition" what AIM amounts to is a scam. As far as I understand, a scam is something billing itself grander than what it is in order to take in more money than its worth. So, yeah, paying $17.99 for a CD that took 12 cents to manufacture is a scam, too.

In requiring porn performers to pony up as little as $120 for an STD/HIV test through their clinic, AIM (and the porn industry) are running something of a grab cash operation; a scam. The low fee of $120 is only available in Los Angeles because that's where the clinic is based. To take AIM's test outside of L.A. costs substantially more since, according to studios who insist on out-0f-town talent submitting to AIM, they have to add in shipping and handling costs plus special document procedure. To translate that last part, AIM needs time to post its check list to a nearer-to-you medical office, meaning one cannot simply walk in and get tested but, rather, must make an appointment. Thus in addition to being more expensive it is also inconvenient to someone in, say, Denver, San Diego, Houston, Boston, Miami Beach, Chicago, New Jersey, etc.

UPDATE: AIM has since been debunked and shut down and nobody is capitalizing on it more than angry white dude Donny Long!

Again, these same porn star aspirants can, on any given day, walk in to a local clinic and request the Rapid HIV test and other screenings for various STDs free of charge or for a nominal fee. Also, most porn companies do not cover the medical cost either, leaving the talent, who is guaranteed no work (income), to pay out of his own pocket---to pay for something which he can get free of charge!
To compound matters, a new AIM validation is required every month. Conventional wisdom suggests sexually active persons get checked every three to five months but AIM, being so diligently compassionate, stipulates a check-up every thirty days. So...

$120 x X models x daily = KA-CHING!!

If this doesn't amount to a racket then Las Vegas ain't Sin City, O'Reily ain't a propagandist jerk, and California ain't on the west coast. Porn work pays well enough and, if nothing else, is definitely quick, easy money but it is not so lucrative to nonchalantly offset some $120...$150...$160 every thirty days where work is neither certain nor regular.
The porn industry has road to haul toward legitimacy if it keeps operating in these backroom methods.

Ever notice how you very, very, very, very rarely see a black in porn unless the colour is referenced in the title? Makers of porn find it unfathomable to cast black talent unless it constitutes a bankable niche; in other words, perpetuates a stereotype they have fostered.
Every reason given on the lack of colour in porno stinks of repressed racism. They claim: there are no black models (yeah right! In Iceland!); the females don't want to work with black guys (then ditch the barbies and hire some black girls...for a change); black models can't perform (huh?!); they're unclean or unclean-looking (the Jew, Ron Jeremy, anyone?!); blacks don't contact them for work; or blacks just don't sell.

Every one of these lines of bullshit were once de riguer in Hollywood; And we know the racist history of the silver screen the small screen, the stage, the Vaudeville stage, and Las Vegas spectaculars. In step with show biz fifty years ago, the porno industry maintains racist preferences. So why give them a free pass?
Look closer at the studios. Vivid, Vixen, Falcon, BrazzersNetwork, Sean Cody, Jake Cruise, Cocky Guyz, Perfect Guyz, Future Works, Lucas Entertainment, Corbin Fischer, Sensual Box, Dirk Yates, Adam & Eve, Metro, Jet Set to name a few.

Lucas Entertainment works out of NYC. Surely there are black performers in the Big Apple, but, nope, its videos remain lily white...with a Latino butt thrown in for good (brown)measure. And compared to regular porn, fag porn truly does pay male performers substantially more money...in fact, beaucoup money. Here also, in gay porn, the male talent receives acknowledgement for his labor/contribution in the sense of name recognition, billing, a thank-you and other little niceties the straight side of the industry fails to apply to the 'b' side of the b/g (boy/girl) formula.

Do we question the females' sexualities in regards to their scenes? No, we do not. In response to such a query Jeff Strkyer answered, "Well, does it look like I enjoyed it?...Really that's all that matters" meaning, that his, like any actor's, personal gratification from completing a scene is, largely, irrelevant to the viewer's perception of the credibility, the believability of the scene.
Gay-for-pay will remain a viable option so long as the female sexism (and cronyism) in straight porn prevails.

Pay scale is weighed unfairly toward females and all because of the sexist notion that her sex is more virtuous than his ergo she needs to be compensated more than does he. Bah!

In porn everyone is a slut

In many cases, the stud goes without pay. This makes him a stupid slut. By their own admissions the female talent does not do as much as their male counterparts. The man carries the scene...but the camera (and box covers) focus on the woman. Wag the dog, anyone?

All that is required of female models is that they look hot---not be punctual or cooperative or even believeable on camera. Just hot. And for this paltry qualification the cunt typically earns at least 3x more than the cock.

This is sexism

To be accurate, workers should be reclassified as "female models" and "male performers" since it is the guys who are doing all of the action and the girls who are kind enough to be present.
