Don't just hate Bush Administration for being "compassionate conservatives" or for transforming our national surplus into years of saddling debt. Despise Bush & Cheney for the same reasons we pride ourselves on despising other lying warmongers: thirst for wealth and power at the cost of misguided lives.

Tomas Young was one of hundreds of delusional youth who enlisted in the military in the wake of 9/11. The economy wasn't great then either and the allure of the military begins to look more and more like a very tempting and "responsible" decision (he married young, besides) but the 22-year old Young signed up out of patriotism, not as a calculated career move. I almost did the same.

Iraq veteran's 'Last Letter' to Bush Administration 

He got his wish. He was sent into combat. Only it wasn't in Afghanistan where the bad guys supposedly originated (or Saudi Arabia where some of the terrorists' funding flowed) but, oddly, Iraq. Anywho, he was dying for action and, man, did he get it fast. Less than a week into his first tour Young's convoy was blasted by insurgents (you all remember that word, right?) leaving him paralyzed and dependent on life-providing medicines. 

That was 2004.

Now it's 2013 and Young has a new dying wish: to see the former vice president and his proxy express remorse...instead of backslapping on the 10th anniversary of the Iraq War. Now the former president reveals in an interview with Matt Lauer that he was/is truly bothered by rapper Kanye West's telethon outburst - "George Bush doesn't care about black people" - and regards it as one of the most disgusting moments of his Presidency. If you believe that, I have a squirt of sperm for your eye. 

Here is a disastrous "war president" who failed at

At any rate, Mr West's bluntness proved to be a fierce understatement: Bush didn't care about ANY Americans; except, partially, the "Have's and the Have-more's" which made up his financial base.

Remembering 9/11 workers...NOT!

It must suck to be an ill 9/11 worker. It's bad enough being sick -- I hate being sick and slowed down -- but to be made into a  long-suffering martyr sucks ass. The bill (James Zadroga 9/11 Health & Compensation Act) to fund health care and compensation for those crew workers of the now infamous Ground Zero failed passage in the House chambers. 

This means the once dust covered and praised Everyman "heroes" will not get serious medical treatment unless they can afford it, and since many (most?) can't afford said treatment they'll just have to summon that hero strength, dig their heels in the trenches and cough their way through the court system for any recourse toward compensation. Can I get a whoop-whoop! Let's see how many more 9/11's those folks and their families will pause for in remembrance. Meanwhile the whole former Bush Administration is going on with their lives and careers and enjoying the fruits of their CVs. Ditto Osama Bin Laden.

The ill 9/11 rescue workers dug into the former site of the World Trade Center and were willing to rescue people for unsung praises and unsung glory --- and that's just what they got. That's one helluva trade off. Hey, when you takes your chances, you takes your chances.

Paranoia causes security scare II

A family man wearing a plain T-shirt with the small message "Freedom or Die" on it was asked to change his clothing by security personnel. Said the security officer:

Some airlines get a bit worried by T-shirts with what you have got on, it might be a bit threatening.

The UK airport has apologized for the "overzealous" gaffe, stating it has no T-shirt slogan policy, but the incident highlights the fickleness of all this high security measure bull and, incidentally, reminds us of the great safety compromise before us: freedom or death?

To a govt, freedom is not always an attractive thing to encourage in its citizens. Bless his soul, Dennis Kucinich, is a Washington Democratic politician who actually has one. A soul/conscience/moral compass, that is. Yesterday, the congressman presented a bill to the House calling for damn near immediate withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. The bill was overwhelmingly rejected. Whoa. Defeat, yes, but also, in a bigger sense, a winner because the measure's rejection rammed home a reality check to many Americans: F*ck you! We, U.S. Congress, tell you how we want things to go.


So much for "govt for the people, by the people" illusion.

And so much for President Obama's big ass anti-war stance. He, as we were so often reminded during the campaign, voted against the Iraq War because he, as we were so often told, knew from the get-go it was a wrong, ill-conceived, and bogus confrontation. Yet, as President, Obama is more concerned with winning the goddamn tragedy than ending it. I don't think it is about oil so much as it is about his ego. He wants to show that he's tough and imposing. But he isn't; Obama is not a tough guy. He is a charming nerd.

Reality check to many Americans: F*ck you! We, U.S. Congress, tell you how we want things to go

President Obama will not win this war because he is not a fighter, let alone a war president. He is absent of the hard-knuckle, sweaty, domineering toughness that strongmen and bullies, alike, possess that make others move when glanced or shouted at. He is void of any soldier or gangster skills. A man who forwent curriculum at any school of hard knocks as well as military training is far from the best strategist during war. But that's why the nation voted him United States President: to bring home the troops and use his Harvard U. intelligence to right the economy! His unsuitability to engage in war did not matter because we believed the man would not perpetuate the blunderous wars. Well!


Not only has President Obama gone forward with fighting in Afghanistan but now we know the Democratic controlled House of Representatives supports this war as well; a war which they so vehemently denounced up to twelve months ago.

I think all this anti-gay-in-the-military talk is ridiculous. In fact, the gays are probably the strongest and bravest soldiers we have in the US military. I believe we should even allow our military to formulate an entire mult-branch force consisting entirely of our brave, strong, gay soldiers and bestow upon them the exclusive right and privilege of leading all attacks on foreign soil, and I truly believe this should commence immediately!

9/11 IS a big lie

Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a cupid of controversy and Eastern opposition, "shocked" the world by declaring the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers "a big lie". Here's how Mr Ahmadinejad put it:

September 11 was a big lie and a pretext for the war on terror and a prelude to invading Afghanistan...a complicated intelligence scenario and act.

Mr Ahmadinejad is a smiling nutter, that went pound-for-pound for madness with our former president the Monkey, but everything he says is not hyperbole. The big attack that has forever demarcated memories was only a surprise to those of us who did not see it coming; the Bush Administration is not included in that blind lot. It was an inside job. Buildings do not fall neatly into themselves from being missiled.   


Now we hail the bravery of great men like Galileo Galilei, Christopher Columbus, Socrates, Johannes Gutenberg for their discoveries in the face of Authority and conventional wisdom and laugh that, at one time, the world could have ever been so backwards as to believe otherwise; but like the blood-thirty, buffoonery public of Antiquity too many among us still decry those who now challenge and expose official govt versions. From a shouted "You lie!" last year to a mouthed equivalent this year, by a Supreme Court Justice, no less, President Obama is left with little delusions about thriving bipartisanship. At this rate, next year they'll probably quietly file out or just sit and listen to their ipods. Odd how the Chamber was stoic during the Monkey's disastrous, biased and lying eight years.

How little I regard the war

In going through my archives I noticed there was only one entry on the war. Strange, I  thought, seeing as how the Obama Administration (not "we") is engaged in two wars just like his predecessor.

Not all of us have loved ones in the military

Two wars and, yet, I barely register them. I regard them so little that I can't care less about contributing commentary to the fold. So do these wars still matter...for anyone outside of the White House and soldiers' families? Not all of us have loved ones in the military (or private contracting businesses).


In the beginning I believed the Iraq War had merit. In the beginning I believed our forces had virtue and strategy and would win. In the beginning I believed the cause and effects of the fighting would benefit the American people and country, and, naturally, the world. In the beginning I was conscious of the war and the ticker-tape of casualties. Now; now, I'm not conscious of it. Now, the beginning seems so long ago.

According to a Washington Post article by Ellen Nakashima, citizens crossing the U.S. border by land will have their information reviewed and archived for fifteen years...just to be safe. While truckloads of illegals enter our country and, then, multiply and remain the Bush Administration along with powerful politicians like Senator McCain and NYC Mayor Bloomberg insist nothing can be done about it. In fact, these men---these rich, white men---argue the American economy depends on illegal and foreign labor. Meanwhile honest, legitimate American citizens are subject to terrorist scanning and privacy invasion.
