The unbelievable hoopla involving Starbucks and the Second Amendment (unbelievable because it involves Starbucks at all) brings to mind anew the Aesop's Fable where the Lion allows himself to be declawed, detoothed, and emasculated from his nature so that others feel at ease being around him. The new and improved and nice
Gun-control advocates, weak people who've excelled at academics or liberal politics and little else, would have you, like the Lion, believe that a gun-free world makes you safer because it makes you a nicer person and the world a nicer place filled with other nice people. Apparently, they've never heard of Attila the Hun, Jeffery Dahmer, the Boston Strangler, or the Marquis de Sade.
A person or a people made defenseless is just that: defenseless, open prey, easy pickings, a pushover for any malefactor or oppressive govt that comes along.
