The pound currency takes some getting used to. It has a slew of funny-sounding names per denomination and weirdly sized coins - e.g., 2cents is much larger than 5cents - and, of course, the notes come in different colors and sizes as opposed to our simple one size greenbacks. BUT the biggest headache is getting used to the prices. The standard of living don't come cheap in Great Britain even if all you can afford is fish & chips and a pint to wash them down with!
But - ta-da! - I'm getting the hang of this British sterling...and loving it, darling. The pound has hit yet another high level against the euro. For one already expert at making the penny stretch this is welcomed news.
