Am beginning to doubt Obama
am beginning to doubt he can
bring about the change
that he promised all the land
His skills (hope) are yet forthcoming
his demands are still ever grand
but his convictions when tested
recede like footprints in the sand
Am beginning to see Obama
for the historical footnote he is
not a milestone. Or revolution;
or anything so cataclysmic
My black President Obama.
Oh what a wonderful fact!
Yet the man has never fought in his life
and in a leader that is a major lack
Am beginning to doubt Obama
am beginning to doubt the man
can do anything beyond
making promises again and again
