French athletes arrogant? Mais no!

After reading a World Cup recap on Yahoo! sports in which at one point the author described the French team as 

a bunch of arrogant, petulant, overpaid stars who questioned [the coach's] authority and didn’t even have the decency to turn up for training ahead of their final match. A government inquiry was set up upon their return home, but it could take a long time to get to the bottom of this debacle.

I thought to myself, It's the French. So what else is new?
